Wild AI-Generated Images Based on Reddit Usernames

The latest viral trend on the /chatgpt subreddit has users asking the AI chatbot to create images based on their Reddit usernames. The results are a mixed bag, ranging from cute and charming to, well, not so much.

For some users, like goodnaturedheathen, the AI-generated images are adorable. However, for others, like BeachedWhiteMale, the results are more… provocative. Fortunately, there are also plenty of wholesome submissions from users like HeyLookAHorse, Br0barian, and ChimpanzeeClownCar.

But beware: if you’ve chosen an unfortunate or boring username, you’re stuck with it forever. Reddit users can’t change their usernames, so the AI-generated image is the only option. The results will depend on whether your username is interesting enough to spark creativity.

This trend follows previous viral ChatGPT image trends, such as turning pets into humans and generating AI action figures. However, some of these trends have been more controversial, including a Studio Ghibli image frenzy. OpenAI’s parent company, Ziff Davis, has also filed a lawsuit against the AI system, alleging copyright infringement.

You can head to the /chatgpt subreddit to see some of the most popular results and try it out for yourself. Just be warned: the AI-generated images might not always be pretty!
