Israel Strikes Yemeni Ports Targeting Houthi Terrorist Regime

Israel launched airstrikes on two major ports in Yemen, Hodeidah and Al-Salif, on Friday, targeting the Houthi terrorist regime. The strikes were carried out by 15 Israeli air force fighter jets and used over 35 munitions.

According to the IDF, the ports are critical for transferring weapons and are a key part of the Houthi’s terrorism operations. Defense Minister Israel Katz said that the military had “severely damaged” the ports, which will likely be out of operational use for a month.

The strikes come after repeated warnings from the IDF, which urged locals to evacuate the area due to the potential risks. The IDF warned that any hostile activity in the ports would be prevented.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the strikes were a response to the Houthis’ continued missile fire towards Israel and vowed to “strike them much harder” if necessary. He also blamed Iran for supporting the Houthi regime, saying they will pay a heavy price.

This is not the first time Israel has struck at Yemeni ports controlled by the Houthis. In recent days, the group has fired four missiles, including one that fell short in Saudi Arabia, and Israel’s air force intercepted all remaining ones.
