Bahama Breeze restaurant in Troy abruptly closed earlier this week, leaving behind a single location in Michigan. The chain’s only remaining spot is now located in Livonia. Darden Restaurants confirmed that 15 locations across the US were closed, including the Troy site at 539 E. Big Beaver Road.
According to Kiara Buckner, a spokesperson for Darden Restaurants, the decision was made after evaluating the performance of each restaurant. Closing a location “impacts our team members and guests,” but it’s believed that this choice will allow Bahama Breeze to refocus on its highest-performing restaurants and enhance the brand’s overall performance.
The Livonia location at 19600 Haggerty Road is now the last remaining Bahama Breeze restaurant in Michigan. The chain has also closed locations in Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, and Tennessee.
