$25K Reward Offered for Vandalism Behind Spectrum Outages

A $25,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for outages in Kansas City’s Spectrum network. The outages were caused by severed fibers, with a primary fiber cut during vandalism and another third-party fiber slashed.

The incident has sparked an investigation with local, state, and federal law enforcement. Spectrum says the attacks are part of a larger issue affecting the telecommunications industry due to increased precious metal prices.

The company is urging anyone with information to report it to the tip line at 833-404-TIPS.
