Razer Blade 14 Gets Power and Portability Boost

Razer’s new Blade 14 laptop is thinner, more powerful, and just as portable as its 16-inch counterpart. The device will come in two configurations: one with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 GPU for $2,299.99, and a higher-end version with the RTX 5070 GPU priced at $2,699.99. This latest update builds upon the Blade 16’s success, offering a full-power RTX 5070 in a compact chassis.

The Blade 14 will feature an AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 CPU, a 3K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and customizable per-key RGB lighting. The laptop can be equipped with up to 64GB of RAM and 2TB of storage. Although the RAM is soldered in place, the single NVMe SSD slot allows users to upgrade their storage options.

Razer has managed to make the Blade 14 11 percent thinner and 11 percent lighter than its predecessor while maintaining its performance and battery life. The laptop’s new design features a redesigned thermal shelf and cooling system, similar to those found in the Blade 16.

The Blade 14 is expected to launch in May, with two other devices set to follow: a lower-cost Blade 16 with an RTX 5060 GPU and a high-end gaming laptop yet to be announced. The new Blade 14 boasts a 72Whr battery and weighs just 3.59 pounds, making it an attractive option for those seeking a powerful portable hybrid gaming and content-creation machine.
