Kyle Schwarber Hits 300 Home Runs in Dominant Fashion

Kyle Schwarber reached a major milestone last night, hitting his 300th career home run. In typical Schwarber fashion, he blasted the ball 466 feet, cementing his status as a home run monster. The Cubs’ outfielder has come a long way since his time with the team, which accounted for nearly half of his total. Since leaving Chicago, Schwarber has hit an impressive 179 home runs in just four and a half seasons.

At 32 years old, Schwarber is still on pace to reach 500 career home runs if he maintains his current level of production. His .257/.389/.573 wRC+ this season is the best of his career, making him a highly sought-after free agent after this year. With a strong performance and good health, Schwarber can expect a lucrative new contract.

Other notable former Cubs players have also reached 300 home runs, including Anthony Rizzo with 303, Jorge Soler with 197, Javy Báez with 187, Kris Bryant with 184, and Willson Contreras with 158. The top tier of power hitters consists of Schwarber and Rizzo, followed by the other four players in close proximity.

To celebrate this milestone, MLB released a video showcasing Schwarber’s career home run journey.
