Disney’s beloved alien character Stitch is back on the big screen in a new live-action adaptation of the 2002 animated film “Lilo & Stitch.” The movie follows Stitch, who disguises himself as a dog and finds his way to Earth, where he is adopted by Lilo, a 6-year-old girl. As before, the story explores themes of family and ohana, with Stitch finding a sense of belonging in Lilo’s life.
In an interview, Stitch expressed excitement about the film’s release, saying “Because Stitch in it! Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because everyone loves Stitch!” The movie is rated PG and will hit theaters on May 23. Disney’s Maia Kealoha stars alongside Stitch in the film, with Stitch predicting a successful career as an A-list actress.
The new live-action “Lilo & Stitch” promises to bring a fresh take to the classic tale, while maintaining its heartwarming themes of family and belonging.
