NBA Rookies Shine in Awards Selection
The 2024-25 Kia NBA All-Rookie First Team has been announced, with San Antonio Spurs guard Stephon Castle taking home unanimous selection as rookie of the year. Castle received all 100 first-team votes from a global media panel.
Joining Castle on the team are Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Edey and forward Jaylen Wells, Atlanta Hawks forward Zaccharie Risacher, and Washington Wizards forward-center Alex Sarr. This marks the first time since 2019-20 that multiple players from the same team have been selected to the team.
The French duo of Sarr and Risacher also make history by becoming the first non-US players to be named to the Kia NBA All-Rookie First Team in the same season. The Grizzlies are now the first team to achieve this feat since 2019-20.
The complete 2024-25 Kia NBA All-Rookie Teams will be released, including the All-Rookie Second Team and All-NBA selections.
