YouTube investigator Stephen Findeisen, also known as “Coffeezilla,” has called out misleading headlines surrounding viral influencer Hailey Welch, also known as “Hawk Tuah,” and her memecoin HAWK. Welch launched the token on December 5, sparking outrage across social media due to allegations of snipers and insider wallets.
Coffeezilla claims that the team behind the memecoin sold around $2-3 million worth of tokens to strategic advisors before the launch. However, the exact amount is unknown. According to Welch’s lawyer, she has earned $125,000 so far, with her tokens set to unlock in a year.
Despite rumors of lawsuits and alleged profits, Coffeezilla says most of the information online is misinformation. He states that no legal action has been taken yet. United States law firm Burwick Law has reached out to victims of the launch, offering guidance on their “legal rights.”
Welch had previously claimed that her team was trying to stop snipers by increasing fees during the launch. However, Coffeezilla disputes this statement, saying it’s not accurate.
The controversy surrounding Welch’s memecoin highlights the importance of verifying information before sharing it on social media. Coffeezilla’s investigation is a reminder to fact-check and stay informed about emerging financial trends.
