Corsair Air 5400 Review – Revolutionary Cooling Design

The Corsair Air 5400 is a game-changer in PC case design, featuring a unique triple-chamber approach to cooling that harnesses the Venturi effect to speed up airflow. The case boasts a futuristic design with a glass front and side panel, showcasing its internal components.

One chamber houses the CPU radiator, while another contains the power supply unit (PSU) and cables. This innovative layout allows for efficient hot air removal without compromising other components. The top and bottom fan mounting locations form a chimney-like structure that promotes airflow over the entire system.

Corsair’s implementation of the Venturi effect involves plastic housing for fans that shrink at the edge, supposedly aiding in pressure/speed change. Although using 120mm fans may seem restrictive, this approach could deliver on Corsair’s promises of top-notch cooling.

Aesthetically pleasing with a smart glass and mesh front panel, the Air 5400 also features an interesting design when viewed from the side. A third chamber houses the radiator, while a plastic diffuser helps to dissipate hot air away from other components. When the side panel is removed, the PSU, motherboard tray, and cable management system are revealed.

The new cable management system provides a pegboard-like solution with specialized cable holders and zip-tie compatibility. Although still a concept for now, the Air 5400 shows immense potential as a high-performance PC case. Its innovative design and promise of exceptional cooling make it an exciting prospect for enthusiasts and builders alike.
