Indian Author’s Kannada Collection Wins International Booker Prize

Banu Mushtaq has made history by winning the International Booker Prize with her short fiction collection “Heart Lamp”. Translated by Deepa Bhasthi, this marks a first for both the translated work and the language of origin – Kannada. The award recognizes Karnataka’s official language in India as a publishing milestone.
