Enhanced Games Announce Date and Venue for First Competition

The Enhanced Games, an alternative Olympics for athletes using performance-enhancing drugs, have announced their first competition. The event will take place at Resorts World Las Vegas from May 21-24, 2026. Athletes competing in the games can use banned substances like testosterone and steroids if they are prescribed by a doctor and taken at safe levels.

The inaugural Enhanced Games will feature three sports: swimming (50m and 100m freestyle, and 50m and 100m butterfly), track (100m sprint, 110m/100m hurdles, and 60m dash), and weightlifting (snatch, clean and jerk). Athletes will be categorized based on their chromosomes, rather than sex.

The games promise up to $500,000 in prize money per event, with bonuses for breaking world records. A Greek-Bulgarian swimmer, Kristian Gkolomeev, has already broken two 50m freestyle world records using the Enhanced Games’ protocols. The games aim to disrupt traditional sports and open up research possibilities on banned substances.

The brainchild of lawyer Aron D’Souza, the Enhanced Games have sparked controversy among sporting bodies. However, D’Souza claims the goal is to fair pay athletes and provide access to performance-enhancing science. The games will also launch a direct-to-consumer business offering “guaranteed access” to performance enhancement protocols used by top athletes like Gkolomeev.
