Warwick Davis, James Phelps, and Oliver Phelps from the original Harry Potter films expressed interest in being involved with the upcoming HBO series. The actors attended Universal Epic Universe’s grand opening celebration, where they participated in the “Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic” theme park.
Davis described the parks as a way to create immersive entertainment beyond the two-dimensional experience of films. He noted that success is a sign of room for more storytelling in different mediums. Davis would consider reprising his role as Professor Filius Flitwick if asked.
The Phelps twins expressed caution, preferring not to overshadow the creative team and actors playing their former characters. However, they acknowledged the potential benefits of being part of the series and ensuring that fans enjoy the new iteration of Fred and George Weasley. They were impressed by the cinematic quality of “Battle at the Ministry,” which features advanced technology and attention to detail. The brothers expressed gratitude for being among the first to experience the attraction.
