Former UFC welterweight champions Belal Muhammad and Kamaru Usman got into a physical altercation during an episode of The Pound 4 Pound podcast, hosted by Henry Cejudo. The podcast was cut short without any footage being released.
The incident occurred ahead of Muhammad’s first title defense at UFC 315, where he faced off against Cejudo. Muhammad and Usman had been critical of each other for some time, but their verbal exchange turned into a physical scuffle.
According to Cejudo, the altercation started when Usman claimed there was unfinished business between the two fighters in Montreal earlier this month. Usman allegedly said they would need security if he saw Muhammad again.
However, Cejudo disputed Usman’s claim, stating that he believed Muhammad had started the altercation. The two fighters exchanged blows before being separated by production crew members.
