Cloudflare Blocks IP Address from ‘Too Many Requests’ Attack

A large-scale denial-of-service (DoS) attack on a popular online service has been blocked by Cloudflare, a content delivery network (CDN). The IP address of the attacker, 37.27.54.14, has been flagged and restricted from accessing the service.

The ‘Too Many Requests’ protocol is designed to prevent abuse by requiring a client to authenticate itself before gaining access to a protected resource. However, in this case, an unusually high volume of requests have overwhelmed the system, causing it to become unavailable.

Cloudflare’s automated systems quickly identified the malicious activity and took steps to block the IP address from further attempts. This measure aims to prevent further disruption to legitimate users and protect the service against future attacks.
