Real Madrid took down Atlético with a convincing 3-1 victory, thanks in part to Kylian Mbappé’s impressive display. The French striker scored both of the hosts’ goals, including a smart near-post finish, and threatened throughout the match.
Madrid’s defense was solid, with goalkeeper Andriy Lunin making several big saves, including one early on from Fran García. The left back had a good game overall, supporting well both defensively and in build-up play.
The midfield trio of Dani Ceballos, Fede Valverde, and Aurélien Tchouaméni played with composure, recycling possession well before being subbed off. Luka Modrić also put in a composed performance as captain, setting the tone for his team’s victory.
Kylian Mbappé was the star of the show, scoring both goals and creating chances throughout the match. Arda Güler also made an impact, playing the ball into dangerous areas and setting up early chances.
The visitors’ substitutes were largely ineffective, with Jesús Vallejo struggling to make an impact due to a knock. Vinícius Júnior did manage to come on and make an immediate impact, providing a well-weighted assist for Mbappé’s second goal.
