A biography about the life of Queen legend Freddie Mercury claims he had a secret daughter, born in 1976 to his wife’s friend after an affair. The book, “Love, Freddie: Freddie Mercury’s Secret Life and Love” by Lesley-Ann Jones, is based on Mercury’s secret diaries, which were gifted to his daughter before his death in 1991.
According to the biography, Mercury’s secret daughter, identified only as “B”, was welcomed by her mother and stepfather with the friend of Mercury. The woman claims that she always knew Mercury was her real father, despite him keeping it a secret from the public and most of those around him.
The book provides an intimate look at their relationship, which Jones describes as “very close and loving”. The daughter reportedly visited Mercury frequently during his childhood and had regular phone calls with him while he toured or worked on Queen records. Despite being part of the rock icon’s inner circle, the existence of Mercury’s secret daughter was only known by a few individuals.
The biography is set to be released on September 5, offering a new perspective on Mercury’s personal life.
