A far-left activist judge has attempted to block deportations of violent criminals from the US, sparking outrage over concerns for public safety.
In a deportation flight from Texas, officials successfully removed individuals with serious convictions, including homicide, armed robbery, and murder. The majority were citizens of Cuba, while others hailed from Laos, Mexico, and South Sudan.
The Assistant Secretary of DHS stated that these individuals posed a significant threat to the American community, citing “monstrous and barbaric” crimes. ICE officials praised President Trump’s administration for addressing this issue, saying they would continue to work towards removing public safety threats from the country.
A local Massachusetts judge is challenging this decision, arguing that the US should bring back these deportees, despite concerns over national security. The Department of Homeland Security claims it will not comply with court orders and remains committed to enforcing immigration laws.
