Billy Joel Cancels Concert Tour Due to Health Issues

Rock Legend Billy Joel Announces He Will Be Pausing All Public Appearances After Diagnosed with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus.

Billy Joel, a 76-year-old singer and songwriter behind hit songs like “Uptown Girl” and “Piano Man,” has cancelled his upcoming large-scale concert tour due to a recent diagnosis of normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH). According to a statement released by the Long Island resident, his performance schedule aggravated the condition, causing issues with movement, cognition, and balance.

The 150th show of Joel’s record-breaking residency at Madison Square Garden in 2024 marked the end of a successful run that began in 2013. Initially planned for a two-year tour featuring superstars like Stevie Nicks, Sting, and Rod Stewart, the event has been postponed multiple times due to health concerns.

Joel has announced he will be taking a break from performing while working on his recovery under the guidance of his doctors. He expressed gratitude for fan support during this time, saying he looks forward to returning to the stage when ready.
