Apple Unveils Sweeping OS Design Overhaul for WWDC 2025

Apple is set to revolutionize its software platforms with a massive design overhaul, as part of its upcoming WWDC 2025 event on June 9. According to reports, iOS 19, macOS 16, watchOS, and tvOS will all receive significant redesigns, adopting Apple’s new modern design language.

The goal is to achieve consistency across all operating systems, with a focus on transparency, glass-like materials, and liberal use of translucency. Expect changes in navigation hierarchies, icon designs, and overall visual aesthetics. The design overhaul may also bring the TV app closer in line with iOS, creating a more cohesive user experience.

The redesign is inspired by the Apple Vision Pro’s visionOS and will be showcased in WWDC artwork featuring translucent elements. The major overhaul marks the biggest change to Apple’s OS design since iOS 7.

Stay tuned for full coverage from WWDC 2025, starting June 9 at 10 AM Pacific Time, when we’ll bring you updates on the latest developments and announcements from the event.
