A SpaceX Dragon cargo ship returning from the International Space Station caused a sonic boom that was heard by people in Southern California on Saturday night. The capsule, which is visible to the naked eye for hundreds of miles, splashed down off the coast about 25 miles west of Camp Pendleton. A videographer with KABC captured stunning video of the capsule from the roof of their studio in Glendale, California. Many residents reported hearing a loud boom and seeing a bright light streak across the sky as the capsule re-entered the atmosphere.
