Microsoft has begun rolling out updates to its Paint, Snipping Tool, and Notepad apps for Windows 11. The updates bring several new features designed to enhance the creative experience.
Paint’s latest update (version 11.2504.451.0) includes two notable features: sticker generator and object select. Sticker generator uses AI-powered prompts to create custom stickers that can be applied, copied, or saved. Object select allows users to isolate individual elements in an image with the help of intelligent AI tools.
Both new features are available only on Copilot+ PCs, which require a Microsoft account for use.
In Snipping Tool (version 11.2504.38.0), two new features have been introduced: perfect screenshot and color picker. Perfect screenshot uses AI to resize screenshots without the need for manual cropping or resizing. Color picker allows users to capture specific colors on their screen with precision.
Notepad’s update (version 11.2504.46.0) includes generative AI-powered writing feature, enabling users to quickly draft text based on prompts. The new write feature is available exclusively to Microsoft 365 Personal and Enterprise subscribers who have an active subscription.
These updates are rolling out in the Canary and Dev Channels for Windows Insiders. Users can provide feedback through the Feedback Hub app.
