Nadal’s Emotional Farewell at French Open Reunited with Federer, Djokovic, and Murray

Rafael Nadal bid an emotional farewell to his fans at the French Open on Sunday, surrounded by former rivals-turned-friends Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray. The 14-time champion’s retirement marked a significant milestone in tennis history.

Nadal, 37, expressed his gratitude to his friends and rivalries, saying they had built “amazing” relationships despite their competitive nature. He praised the support of French fans, who wore Roland Garros’ terracotta-colored T-shirts to show their allegiance.

Federer, Djokovic, and Murray walked out together to join Nadal on Court Philippe Chatrier for a 50-minute ceremony honoring the “King of Clay.” The group shared warm hugs and words of appreciation for Nadal’s achievements and friendship.

The French Open tribute included a showreel of Nadal’s iconic memories, a heartfelt speech in multiple languages, and a special plaque with his footprint unveiled by tournament director Amelie Mauresmo and French Tennis Federation president Gilles Moretton.
