NBC ranked second for broadcast viewership during the 2024-2025 season with 7.2 million total viewers. CBS topped the list with 9.1 million, followed closely by ABC at 6.9 million. Fox trailed behind with 4.3 million.
Nielsen revealed rankings of popular shows after 35 days, considering on-air broadcasts, on-demand viewing, and streaming. NBC’s One Chicago universe led the network’s offerings, securing top spots in both broadcast and streaming categories. Chicago P.D. ranked 15th overall, attracting 9.8 million viewers per episode, while Chicago Med came in at 16th with 9.7 million. Chicago Fire rounded out the top 20, ranking 19th with 9.2 million viewers.
Law & Order: SVU and its flagship show, Law & Order, followed closely behind. Non-scripted programs like The Voice continued to draw large audiences, including 5.4 million viewers in the fall season.
The One Chicago shows were particularly popular among 18-49-year-olds, according to TV Series Finale. Other renewed scripted shows included Happy’s Place, Brilliant Minds, and St. Denis Medical. In contrast, The Hunting Party was the least-watched show with 2.7 million viewers.
New seasons of America’s Got Talent are set to premiere, with Simon Cowell teasing big changes in Season 20.
