GeForce NOW Upgrades Steam Deck with Native App for Cloud Gaming

GeForce NOW has released a native app for Valve’s Steam Deck, unlocking the full potential of the handheld device for cloud gaming. The new app allows users to stream high-quality games on their Steam Deck at up to 4K 60 frames per second, connected to a TV, with HDR10, NVIDIA DLSS 4, and Reflex technologies.

Gamers can enjoy top-notch graphics and performance levels that aren’t possible natively on the Steam Deck. They can also run AAA titles like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, and Monster Hunter Wilds at max settings without worrying about hardware limits or battery drain.

The native app is available now, and users can access over 2,200 supported games on GeForce NOW, including from their Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft, Battle.net, and Xbox libraries. This means they can play a massive game library with better visuals and access to games that wouldn’t run on the handheld before.

To celebrate the launch, NVIDIA is giving away two prize bundles, each including a Steam Deck OLED and Steam Deck Dock, as well as some free GeForce NOW Ultimate memberships. To win, follow GeForce NOW’s social media channels, use #GFNOnSteamDeck, and follow the sweepstakes instructions.

The new app also includes six new games available this week, including Tokyo Xtreme Racer from Japanese game developer Genki. The game features open-road duels on Tokyo’s expressways and a unique immersive street racing experience.
