Google Photos has introduced its own end-of-year recap experience, similar to Spotify’s popular “Wrapped” feature. The 2024 Recap includes a memorable photo slideshow with graphics and cinematic effects, showcasing the most significant moments of your year.
For US users, Google has added an AI component that generates two personalized captions from Gemini detailing the biggest moments of your year. This feature provides additional insights into your photos, such as the number of smiles captured, who had the longest photo streak with you, and top colors photographed during the year.
The 2024 Recap experience will only be available for users with Face Groups enabled, which is automatically set on most accounts. The feature is now rolling out to the Google Photos app and can be accessed from your Memories carousel throughout the month. Once January begins, it will transition to your grid. You can easily share the recap on social media or messaging platforms.
