Samsung has released its Android 16-based One UI 8.0, which extends the predictive back feature to stock apps on Galaxy phones and tablets. The feature was introduced in Android 15 but was only available in Google applications, leaving Samsung’s stock apps without it.
With the new software update, users can now enjoy predictive back functionality in certain stock apps, including Calculator, Clock, Contacts, Settings, Voice Recorder, and Weather. However, this feature requires disabling Good Lock’s One Hand Operation+ module.
Interestingly, the feature was previously available in Developer Options on Android 15 but not functional without activation. Samsung’s new software offers it as a default option in the Developer Section, making it easily accessible to users.
This update brings significant improvements to the predictive back feature, which allows users to preview the previous screen before completing the gesture.
