Haribo Issues Recall After Cannabis-Laced Gummies Found in Netherlands

German confectionery company Haribo has issued a nationwide recall in the Netherlands due to its popular Happy Cola F!ZZ gummy products containing cannabis. The recall affects only one batch of candy sold in the country, with no supplies found to be tainted elsewhere.

Multiple consumers reported feeling “dizziness” after eating the sweets, prompting the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) to investigate. Samples were taken and tested, revealing that cannabis was present in the contaminated candies. The NVWA has warned against consuming the sweets until further notice.

Haribo is working with police to determine how the contamination occurred and has removed all affected bags from the shelves. The company will provide full refunds for returned packs and prioritizes consumer safety above all else.
