This change is expected to result in faster service, with espresso drinks being prepared in under four minutes.
In addition to these efforts, Starbucks is bringing back a popular customer favorite: Sharpies. The coffee condiment bar will return, allowing customers to customize their brews as desired.
Niccol also emphasized the importance of transparency in pricing. He announced that the company will “hit the pause button” on price increases for the current fiscal year and instead focus on simplifying its pricing architecture.
