Clint Eastwood Still Going Strong at 95

Clint Eastwood, set to turn 95 on Saturday, is proving that age is just a number. In an interview with Austria-based publication Kurier via Reuters, the iconic director announced he’s entering pre-production for his next film. He assured fans that they won’t have to worry about his retirement anytime soon.

Eastwood expressed confidence in his ability to improve with age, stating, “There’s no reason why a man can’t get better with age.” The veteran director credits his long career and constant need to evolve as an artist for keeping him sharp. He misses the pre-franchise era of filmmaking, when writers would create original stories like ‘Casablanca’ in small bungalows.

Eastwood’s upbringing in Hollywood’s “old system” forced him to stay ahead of the curve, leading him to say, “I’ll work as long as I can still learn something.” He remains committed to finding new ideas, choosing between creating something original or staying home. With a career spanning multiple decades, Eastwood is proving that age is just a milestone, not an expiration date.
