FromSoftware has confirmed that Elden Ring Nightreign servers will be down for three hours starting Monday morning, June 2, 2025, as part of a maintenance update to deploy Patch 1.01.1. The studio is aiming to improve solo play with the upcoming patch, which includes an automatic revival effect once per Nightlord battle and increased runes acquired.
The latest patch will address concerns from players regarding solo play, as FromSoftware previously stated it was considering adding a two-player option post-launch. While Nightreign has seen strong numbers of concurrent players on Steam, its reception has been mixed due to criticisms over the lack of duo options and in-game communication features.
Despite initial reservations about playing Nightreign alone, the upcoming patch appears to be an attempt by FromSoftware to make solo play more feasible for fans. The studio’s expertise in single-player games is evident in their latest release, which offers an exhilarating experience for Souls veterans.
