Isiah Pacheco Looks to Rebound After Injuries

Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco is entering his fourth NFL season, a year ahead of expectations due to injuries that derailed him last season. Pacheco gained weight over the offseason, aiming for a 216-pound frame that showcased his speed at the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine.

However, he struggled after returning from a broken fibula in Week 13. His average yards per carry dropped to 3.7 YPC in the final five regular-season games, and he didn’t see significant action in the playoffs.

Coach Andy Reid believes Pacheco is now leaner and looks “tremendous” going into the new season. The 26-year-old hopes to regain his form by running with aggression and taking on defenders.

Pacheco’s comeback will be crucial for both the Chiefs, looking to return to Super Bowl contention, and himself, entering the final year of his rookie contract. A healthy Pacheco could be a key factor in Kansas City’s success this season.
