Apple Unveils iOS 26 and Ecosystem Overhaul at WWDC25

Apple is set to unveil its biggest software overhaul in years at the upcoming WWDC25 event on June 9. The company’s plan includes a significant visual redesign across all its major products, including iPhones, Macs, iPads, and the Vision Pro.

According to reports, iOS 26 will feature new “Solarium” visuals inspired by glassy and translucent windows, giving app icons a transparent or translucent look. This design is expected to be the new unifying theme for Apple’s ecosystem.

While some updates are expected to be significant, others might be smaller, such as improved health features on Apple Watches and enhanced AI capabilities in its software. However, it seems that Apple’s ambitious AI plans may have taken a step back, at least for now.

In terms of hardware, there are no indications that Apple will announce new iPhone or AirPods models at WWDC25, with the rumored iPhone 17 expected to be showcased later this year. However, the company may make unexpected moves in the gaming space, potentially introducing a dedicated video game app and improved gaming capabilities on its devices.

Apple’s WWDC25 event is set to take place on June 9 at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET.
