The Chicago White Sox have promoted highly touted prospect Kyle Teel to the major league roster, marking a significant step forward in his development. The 23-year-old catcher is currently ranked as the No. 2 prospect in the White Sox system and boasts impressive minor league numbers.
Teel has hit .295 with eight home runs, 30 RBIs, and 34 runs scored in 50 games for Triple-A Charlotte, demonstrating his ability to contribute to the team’s offense. Notably, he has reached base safely in 38 of his last 39 games since April 10.
The Boston Red Sox drafted Teel in the first round (14th overall) in 2023, but traded him to Chicago in December 2024 along with other prospects for All-Star pitcher Garrett Crochet. This move marks a promising shift in Teel’s career trajectory.
