JoJo Siwa Opens Up About Queerness and Identity in Candid Interview

Singer JoJo Siwa has spoken out about her journey of self-discovery and identity, particularly when it comes to her queerness. In an interview with Billboard, she discussed the challenges of navigating her sexuality as a public figure.

Siwa explained that people often tear apart those who are figuring out their identities, especially in the public eye. However, she emphasized that she’s not alone in this struggle and that many people are going through similar experiences.

The “Karma” singer shared that she initially felt boxed into one label after coming out in 2021, but has since realized that her attraction is to humans, regardless of gender. She expressed a connection with Chris Hughes, whom she met on Celebrity Big Brother UK, and described their relationship as romantic.

Siwa also discussed her experiences with identity and attraction, stating that while some people identify as female or male, she’s drawn to individuals who are non-binary, saying “I feel the most like them.” She added that it’s okay not to have all the answers about one’s identity and sexuality, especially in a public spotlight.

The singer was reassured by her housemate Danny Beard, who told her to keep her identity private if she chooses to. Siwa ultimately concluded that being true to oneself is key, even if it means not having all the answers.
