Aaron Rodgers Signs $13.65M Deal with Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has signed a one-year contract worth $13.65 million. The deal includes $10 million guaranteed and can be worth up to $19.5 million with incentives. According to sources, Rodgers passed a physical at the team facility on Saturday morning before agreeing to terms.

The 41-year-old quarterback is expected to wear No. 8 in Pittsburgh, which he also wore during his time with the New York Jets. Steelers great Terry Bradshaw previously wore No. 12, but it’s not officially retired.

Rodgers joins the Steelers after being released by the New York Jets in March due to a contentious meeting with new coach Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey. He played for 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers before joining the Jets last year.

The signing has improved Pittsburgh’s odds in the betting market, with their chances of winning the AFC North increasing from +550 to +500 on ESPN BET. The Steelers are now a 3-point favorite in their season opener against the Jets.
