USMNT Takes onTürkiye in International Friendly at Pratt & Whitney Stadium
The United States Men’s National Team (USMNT) is set to face off against Türkiye in an international friendly match on June 7, 2025, at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Connecticut. The teams have a long-standing rivalry, with the USMNT leading 2-1-1 in their all-time head-to-head matches.
Mauricio Pochettino’s team has made several changes to its starting lineup, including introducing new players Matt Freese and Alex Freeman. NYCFC goalkeeper Freese will become the ninth player to debut under Pochettino, while Orlando City defender Freeman will earn his first cap with the USMNT at just 20 years old.
East Hartford product Patrick Agyemang leads the team in goals this year with three, while Diego Luna has already recorded an assist in two appearances. Defenders Chris Richards and Miles Robinson will form a key partnership in central defense, as they have won four consecutive matches together.
The match is expected to be a significant test for Pochettino’s team, as the USMNT looks to continue its winning streak against Türkiye. With several debutants set to make their international appearances, the match is shaping up to be an exciting and unpredictable encounter.
