“Cheers” Star George Wendt’s Cause of Death Revealed
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health has released the death certificate of late “Cheers” star George Wendt, revealing his cause of death. According to the document, cardiac arrest was listed as George’s immediate cause of death. Underlying causes included congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, and hypertension.
Other significant contributing conditions were end-stage renal disease (kidney failure) and hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol). Wendt, 76, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on May 20, with cremation following on May 28.
