Actor and musician Jared Leto has been accused by multiple women of behaving inappropriately towards them, with some claiming the behavior started when they were underage. The allegations date back to the early 2000s.
Nine women spoke out about their experiences with Leto, who is now 53, according to Air Mail. One woman claimed he asked her uncomfortable questions while she was 16, while another alleged he exposed himself and masturbated in front of a 17-year-old girl.
A representative for the Thirty Seconds to Mars band member denied all allegations, stating that their communications contained nothing inappropriate. However, some women disputed these claims, saying they were uncomfortable with Leto’s behavior, even if it didn’t meet what they considered to be explicit standards.
One woman recalled meeting Leto at an animal rights benefit in 2008 and connecting with him over email before he invited her to his studio. She alleged that Leto would walk out of a room nude “like it was normal” on one occasion when she was 17.
The allegations were first reported last month after DJ Allie Teilz reposted a Facebook status from 2012 on her Instagram Stories, stating that she was assaulted and traumatized by Leto at the age of 17.
