Multiple Cucumber Brands Recalled Over Salmonella Contamination

Cucumbers and ready-to-eat meals containing cucumbers have been recalled nationwide due to potential salmonella contamination. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued multiple recalls after testing showed that various lots of cucumbers contained the bacteria.

The affected products include whole select cucumbers from Alex Kontos Fruit Co., as well as additional brands. All cucumber recalls are classified as Class I, indicating a high risk of serious health consequences or death if consumed.

Consumers who have purchased these products are advised to discard them immediately and contact the manufacturer for further guidance. This recall follows other recent salmonella outbreaks across the country.
