Rep. Blake Moore Criticizes Elon Musk Over DOGE Cuts Claims

US Representative Blake Moore of Utah has joined the growing criticism of Elon Musk over his claims about cost-cutting measures in government spending. In a recent statement, Moore called out Musk for “parroting false claims” about cutting billions of dollars from federal spending.

Moore, who is one of the co-leaders of the bipartisan House DOGE caucus, had hoped to work with Musk on reducing waste and inefficiencies in government programs. However, he claimed that the White House Office for Digital Economy (DOGE) had little interaction with the caucus, making it difficult for them to implement their plans.

Moore’s comments come as Elon Musk is at odds with President Donald Trump over a major spending bill known as the “Big Beautiful Bill”. The bill, which would increase the deficit by trillions of dollars, has been criticized by many lawmakers, including Republicans.

The US representative wants to pursue cost-cutting measures through bipartisan government funding processes and rescission packages, which are expected to be voted on in the House next week. Despite Musk’s initial claims of finding billions of dollars in spending cuts, Moore believes that his promises were “over-promising” and “under-delivering”.
