Iran’s Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib has announced that Tehran will soon unveil sensitive documents related to Israel’s nuclear facilities, its relationship with the US and Europe, and its defensive capabilities. The documents, described as a “treasure trove,” were obtained by Iran through covert operations.
Khatib stated that the documents would strengthen Iran’s offensive posture but did not provide immediate evidence. The Israeli government has not commented on the report, despite having substantial atomic weapons in the region.
The latest development comes amid ongoing tensions between Iran and Israel, with both countries engaging in covert operations for years. The US recently urged Israel to stand down on plans to attack Iranian nuclear sites as negotiations between Washington and Tehran are ongoing.
Iran’s nuclear program has been a point of contention in the talks, with the US proposing a deal that would abandon Iran’s uranium enrichment programme. However, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei rejected the proposal, stating that it was “100 percent against our interests.”
The Iranian parliament speaker also expressed skepticism about the latest US proposal for a nuclear deal, saying it does not include the lifting of sanctions. The negotiations may have hit an impasse, leaving the future of the talks uncertain.
