Intel has appointed Eric Meurice and Steve Sanghi, both seasoned semiconductor industry leaders, to its board of directors. The move comes as the company searches for a new CEO following Pat Gelsinger’s ouster. With significant chipmaking experience, Meurice and Sanghi will provide much-needed expertise at a critical juncture for Intel. Their appointments follow Gelsinger’s departure and Intel’s ongoing cost-cutting drive, which has seen market capitalization fall below $100 billion. The company is currently exploring potential candidates with the help of an executive search firm.
