Wu-Tang Clan has announced its debut game, Wu-Tang: Rise of the Deceiver, developed by Brass Lion Entertainment. The action RPG blends anime-style fighting with Afro-surrealism, allowing players to team up with friends online and customize their characters’ styles and fashion.
The game’s development was influenced by Ghostface Killah and RZA’s upcoming supernatural thriller film, Angel of Dust. American record producer Just Blaze served as the director of music and culture at Brass Lion Entertainment, which co-founded Manveer Heir, Rashad Redic, and Bryna Dabby Smith.
Wu-Tang Clan member Bryna Dabby Smith praised the game’s script, saying it worked well from an interactive perspective. The studio aims to tell authentic underrepresented stories, focusing on issues like race, age, religion, and sexuality.
The game will feature classic Wu-Tang tunes, with new material overseen by Just Blaze. A teaser is available, along with screenshots on the official Steam page. Although a release date has not been announced yet, fans can look forward to experiencing this unique gaming project.
