Pokémon Studio’s Game Freak has announced its new action-RPG, Beast of Reincarnation, set in a post-apocalyptic Japan. The game, originally titled “Project Bloom”, will release on Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2026 as a day-one Game Pass title. In the game, players take on the role of Emma, an outcast known as a “Blighted One”, as she fights against a massive monstrous creature.
The trailer showcases intense action sequences, including samurai battles, vine-swinging, and epic boss fights. Gameplay is described as “demanding” and “technical”, drawing comparisons to games like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and the Nioh series. Emma will be accompanied by her dog Koo in the game.
Beast of Reincarnation marks Game Freak’s latest project, following notable titles like Tembo the Badass Elephant, Giga Wrecker, and Little Town Hero. The game is published by Fictions Inc., after being previously announced as a title from Private Division.
