Darius Garland to Miss Four to Five Months Due to Injury

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland underwent surgery on Monday for his left big toe injury and is expected to miss four to five months of play. The team believes he will make a full recovery by the start of training camp in October, but regular season time off is likely. Garland was diagnosed with the injury in March and initially missed only two games before aggravating it during the playoffs. His procedure was performed at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and is expected to lead to significant playing time loss for the Cavs this season.
