Singer Taylor Swift has taken legal action to ensure her safety after filing a temporary restraining order against a Colorado resident, Brian Jason Wagner. According to documents obtained by E! News, Wagner allegedly visited Swift’s Los Angeles home multiple times in the past year, making false claims about their relationship and claiming he needed to see her in person.
In her declaration, Swift states that Wagner carried a glass bottle as a weapon during one of his visits and had sent threatening emails to her staff. Her security team conducted a background check on Wagner, revealing he had been previously incarcerated and had written letters detailing an infatuation with her while in prison.
Wagner’s recent visits to Swift’s home have increased the sense of fear and urgency for Swift’s safety. The temporary restraining order granted by Los Angeles courts bars Wagner from her home, workplaces, and vehicles.
This is not the first time Swift has taken legal action against a stalker. In 2024, a man was arrested outside The Eras Tour concert in Germany after purchasing a ticket to the show. Swift has spoken publicly about her fear of stalkers, stating she tries to keep her locations private due to safety concerns.
Swift is currently dating NFL player Travis Kelce and has been photographed spending time with him in various locations. Despite her efforts to maintain privacy, she remains vigilant about her safety amid ongoing threats from alleged stalkers.
