Apple’s latest update, iOS 26, has finally arrived with a feature long-awaited by Android users: charging time estimates. This new feature allows you to know exactly when to unplug your iPhone and take action.
iOS 26 brings this useful battery feature to iPhones, giving users a complete redesign that includes “Liquid Glass” elements throughout the operating system. The update also includes refinements for various apps, such as the Camera app and Phone app.
With iOS 26, you can expect to see a new Battery section in the Settings app, where you’ll be able to view estimated charging times. This feature is not only useful but also helps you optimize your charging practices and plan your day accordingly.
One notable feature of iOS 26 is that it will also inform you if you’re connected to a slow charger, whether it’s a slow connection or a Qi-based charger limited to 5W. The estimated time for full charge will be displayed, allowing you to make the most of your charging experience.
The update is currently in its developer beta phase and will be rolled out to the public in the fall after Apple announces the new iPhone 17 series.
