Disney influencer Dominique Brown, 34, has died after experiencing an allergic reaction to food at a holiday event hosted by BoxLunch in Los Angeles on Thursday, Dec. 5. Brown, a longtime collector and enthusiast of the Disney theme parks, was told that a dish did not contain a peanut ingredient she was allergic to but began feeling unwell soon after consuming it.
According to reports, Brown asked to be taken to a hospital immediately after noticing the symptoms. Witnesses reported that she received CPR before 911 was called. BoxLunch representatives have released a statement expressing their devastation and offering support to her family, friends, and the community of fans who followed her work on social media.
Brown was known for co-founding BlackGirlDisney with Mia Von, a platform aimed at creating a welcoming space for women of color who love Disney films and theme parks. Her brother, Patrick Ramos, has praised her fans for their support and shared his own heartfelt condolences on her final Instagram post.
