2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X “Hypercar” Revealed with Record-Breaking Performance

General Motors has revealed the 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X, a high-performance hybrid variant of the Corvette E-Ray that boasts record-breaking performance. The new model features a twin-turbo V-8 engine similar to the current Corvette ZR1, but with faster acceleration thanks to “electrification” technologies.

The Corvette ZR1X’s top speed is 233 mph, and it can accelerate from 0-60 mph in under two seconds. This is made possible by an electric axle that provides all-wheel drive and adds 186 horsepower and 145 foot-pounds of torque to the vehicle.

“We’re putting the world on notice with this car,” said Megan Dalley, Corvette marketing manager. “It’s the most advanced Corvette we’ve ever produced, and America’s true hypercar has arrived.”

The Corvette ZR1X is part of a broader lineup that includes the Stingray, which starts at around $70,000, and the high-performance ZR1 model that can top $200,000. The new model brings Corvette’s lineup to five different models, making it the broadest range in its history.

Pricing for the Corvette ZR1X will be announced closer to its arrival in dealerships later this year. It will be available as a convertible or coupe, with the coupe featuring a rear split window as an homage to the classic 1963 Corvette model. All Corvettes are produced at a GM assembly plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
